Brian Dilts: Home

Welcome to briandilts.com. I am a songwriter and pianist based in the Philly area.

I have a new FREE song streaming right here at the top of the page on briandilts.com, as well as my Facebook page. It's called Invisible Net. You can also download it by going to "Songs", and right-clicking it to save as. More songs to come in the coming weeks...

Check out other my songs in the Songs area too, and if you like what you hear go to http://cdbaby.com/briandilts2 to buy CD or MP3 albums of previous work.

Also, check out and/or subscribe to my blog to stay up to date!

Enjoy the music!

Twitter, $5 Download, $9 CD! - October 12, 2009

Couple quick things: My 2009 EP After The Dawn is now only $5 for download!

Updating a previous item, uh, you don't need WinZip to download a zip file. Yeah, you'd think I'd have known that having been using a computer for 10 years or so... Thanks to a follower of mine on Twitter to point that out!

Speaking of Twitter, I am on there now. So please follow me, and I'll follow you! You'll get the latest info on any new music coming out. Lots of different stuff coming up - new songs, and some other types of music I've been playing around with. Exciting times... But in the meantime, if you haven't, go over to http:cdbaby.com/briandilts2 to download or buy the physical CD (now only $9) of After The Dawn!

After The Dawn EP - Download Info - August 19, 2009

As I've mentioned before, my EP After The Dawn is available on CD Baby. What you may not know is it's cheaper to download! Only $7 to download the 5-song EP. (as opposed to $9 buying the physical CD)

When you download it, you receive a ZIP file with all 5 songs and the album cover. If you're unfamiliar with ZIP files here's what you do.

1 ) Make sure you have WinZip 12.1. If you don't, you can get a free version here. Find the button that says "Download Evaluation Version".

2) Then after you go here and hopefully buy my album, and get the ZIP file via email...

3) just open it, select all the files (mp3 and jpeg), and press the "Extract" button. This will copy the files into whatever folder you want (Music Folder, Desktop, whatever).

It's that simple!

Any questions, just drop me a line!

Summer 2009 update - August 18, 2009

Hello all! It's been a long time since the last entry. Some very special events contribute to the delay. I bought a house with my fiancee, and then married my fiancee shortly after. So very happy times indeed!

After a fun, relaxing honeymoon in London (some pics to come soon), the creative juices are starting to flow again. Working on some new music, new lyrics, some coalescing into new songs. I'm also reworking some old songs that were put aside during the last recording session that made the EP After The Dawn. That EP, incidentally, is now available for purchase at CD Baby - download or CD! As far as the new songs, ideas are flowing about how to present them to the world, there will be more to come on that front soon.

On June 7, I was fortunate enough to perform along side some of the best songwriters on the east coast at Milkboy Coffee in Ardmore, PA. I was selected one of 12 finalists the Philadelphia Songwriters Project's Annual Songwriting Contest for my song "Five Minutes Away". My solo performance of that song and "Shadow Ball" is available to view on my YouTube channel (scroll down, under "recent activity").  Check it out, and show it some love!

Both recordings of the songs I performed, "Five Minutes Away" and "Shadow Ball", are streaming on my website, and available on my 5-song EP After The Dawn.

That's about it for now - more to come soon!
